Innovative Fault-Tolerant Three-Phase SPMSM Drive Without Split Capacitors, Auxiliary Legs, or TRIACs

The existing fault-tolerant three-phase ac drives need split capacitors, auxiliary legs, and triode for alternating current (TRIACs) upon a standard two-level voltage source inverter (VSI) to obtain the self-healing ability toward open-phase faults (OPFs). In order reduce cost, volume, weight, this article proposes novel surfacemounted permanent magnet synchronous machine (SPMSM) drive without or TRIACs. proposed is still built VSI, whereas its dc-source directly connected neutral point of motor. First, mathematical model equivalent circuit are established reveal existence an dc/dc boost converter in system. Second, brand-new d-0 axes references preserve motor's performance when OPF occurs. case, both id i0 nonconstant. Third, overall control strategy including healthy modes presented. mode, deadbeat controller developed track nonconstant references. Finally, experiments carried out on SPMSM test-bench verify effectiveness scheme.
